Healthy Snack for Kids with Multiple Allergies

My grandson was born prematurely with multiple health issues, so many I can’t name them all. He was born allergic to 13+ food items, including dairy, wheat, gluten, soy, and many more.
At the top of the list of foods he was/is allergic to, is peanuts. YES, he had the DEADLY PEANUT ALLERGY. We could not even have nuts in the house. But, I digress here. Let me get back on track.

Needless to say, his diet was severely limited. Grandson was about two and a half or three years old at the time and there was not much he could eat. With that in mind, my daughter went into research mode looking for a healthy snack for Grandson. During her research, she found these Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps. The Snapea Crisps did not contain anything that he was allergic to. She bought them, and the rest is history!

She introduced them to Grandson, and he fell in love with them immediately. From that point on, she could barely keep up with the demand because he ate them as fast as she could buy them. He calls them “Green Beans”. So, around our house they are officially known as “Green Beans”.

The #1 and best thing about these Snapea Crisps /Green Beans is that my grandson with his multitude of allergies could safely eat them.

The next thing I love about these green bean crisps is that they are baked instead of fried. They only have a tiny hint of salt. AND, they are delicious.

We give grandson a few at a time in a bowl and he is munching almost before we can let go of the bowl. *NOTE: He insists on having a wet wipe along with his green beans, for his hands.

Another great thing about these green beans is that they are a healthy alternative to regular potato chips. You get that same chewy crunch as potato chips with these green beans. They are crisp, like the name says and they are also very light.

On the downside, I find them to be a bit pricey. But, who am I to complain about the price? I have not had to buy a single bag…ever. His mommy buys them. Even with the price, these green beans are worth the price so that my highly allergic grandson can have a healthy snack.

For anyone interested in a healthy snack for kids with allergies, try these Snapea Crisps. You’ll be happily surprised.
